		<description>At present the PO provide a first level check on passport and driver licence applications. Surely that is all they would do for ID card applicants. The grey civil servants of the IPS will decide whether or not the application is genuine and review all the relevant information before issuing super secure identity documents. Er, won&#039;t they?</description>
