A peice at the The Register has a telling point about the rise of identity theft: government agencies and private companies everywhere are in control of your personal details, but how much care do they take? Not much:

Computer Weekly reports the results of a YouGov poll in behalf of Glasshouse Partnership. When asked about the government’s proposed ID card scheme:
