Korea fights id theft with legislation on banks
Why can’t our government really tackle the opportunities identity theft open up to criminals by forcing the banks and credit agencies to take legal responsibility for fraud using stolen identities. Bet you’d see the “cost to the nation” figures plummet. Ah, but that would make one less excuse for building a National Identity Database and fingerprinting the lot of us – we couldn’t have that could we?
